Step One: Open up your JIRA project

Login to JIRA and select the project that you would like to add a Bug issue type to.

Step Two: Select Project Settings

On the side panel on the left, select Project Settings.

Step Three: Select Issue types

In the window that appears, on the panel on the left, select Issue Types.

Step Four: Select Add issue type

In the window that appears, on the panel on the left, select Add issue type.

Step Five: Add Bug Issue Type

In the modal that appears, select Bug and then press Add.
