What is an Acceptance Criteria?

The "AC" is considered the "definition of done" and are the conditions that must be satisfied in order for a piece of work to be considered complete.

The Acceptance Criteria or AC, are the conditions that must be satisfied for a campaign, feature, product, service, experience, user story, task, agile user story or subtask to be considered complete.

They are a fundamental part of the development process as they streamline communication, define the definition of done and produce a more efficient delivery.

Acceptance criteria should be written by the product owner, manager or team lead and confirmed with the client or member of leadership to guarantee that the team meets their objective.
