Physically based rendering (PBR) is a computer graphics approach for producing photo-realistic surfaces and materials, that accurately model physics and light.

Physically based rendering (PBR) is a computer graphics rendering approach that aims for physical accuracy and realism by modeling the fundamental principles of how light interacts with material and achieves this through a complex series of algorithms that include texture mapping, micro facet surface modeling, energy conservation (i.e. radiometry) and physically based bidirectional reflectance distribution functions (i.e. surface reflection).
